Project Overview
This long-term parking garage rehabilitation project focuses on extending the life of both the suspended slab and roof deck at a large residential complex in Etobicoke. Scope includes restoring structural integrity, improving surface finishes, and addressing localized concerns in the hydro room, all while maintaining a watertight and aesthetically upgraded garage environment.

Challenges and Outcomes
Work is underway across multiple zones, guided by a phased approach that balances seasonality and access requirements. Active coordination with Toronto Hydro and local authorities, including Parks and Forestry, has been essential, especially regarding tree removals and permit delays.
Despite the project’s size, the team has maximized seasonal efficiencies by strategically sequencing work areas. Strong subcontractor coordination, regular engineering reviews, and ongoing communication with site stakeholders ensure that Canmar stays on track.
The end result will be a structurally sound, waterproofed, and visually upgraded parking structure that enhances safety, reduces future maintenance needs, and extends the property’s lifespan.
